Mrs Nagpal got associated with EFA in late 90's. With various projects, she got hundreds of her school students involved in teaching the illiterate masses of the area. She herself headed the school's literacy and social work campaign for many years.

Her zeal to do something extra for the society always kept her involved in various co-curricular activities of the school. In addition to her routine teaching schedule, she helped her school with various programmes. She headed her School's NSS programme which involved hundreds of school students, teachers and various other organization in the vicinity. In addition to educating the illiterate people from nearby clusters, vocational training and health and hygiene-related activities were carried out on regular basis

As a Science teacher Mrs Mamta Nagpal has always been a hard working , sincere and a devoted guide for her students. She had set many examples for her pupils, who always regarded her as their ''FRIEND IN NEED'. Her passion for her students and teaching had made her one of the favourite teachers of the school. She took help of practical classes, laboratories and other teaching aids to make her subject interesting and well-learnt by her pupils.

As the saying goes, that a teacher is also a 'learner' throughout his/her life, Mrs Mamta Nagpal, also never shied away from learning new things. The best example is her learning of computers during her teaching tanure. Not only that, she took the initiative to 'Teach' computers to the grandparents of some of the students of the school. This was an initiative taken by the School, on one of the grand-parents' day celebrations.

AN EDUCATIONIST TURN INTO POLITICIAN

Mamta Nagpal started her career as an educationist where she had not only taught thousands of students but also wrote science books for them which where used in all DAV Schools

Was born on 20th September 1968 in a mediocre family of well-educated parents.
Her father Shri Baldev Raj Madan was a well-reputed Businessman who had started his printing press in the late fifties and had earned a reputation as a hard working honest and lively person who wanted to achieve great heights
Her mother was a graduate who had devoted herself to nurture her daughters and family and kept the values intact with the family. The result of her efforts can be seen in the form of three daughters-each of them have curved their niches in their respective fields and have raised their family name to newer heights.

Mrs Mamta Nagpal nee Madan is the eldest of three sisters. She had completed her schooling at Salwan Public School, Rajinder Nagar. She was among the top 5 students in her class and passed out class 12th exams in science stream with distinction in most of the subjects. She was always fond of reading and most popular among her friends as the most helpful and decide person. From the very beginning of her life, she had wanted to be independent and self Reliant. She studied BSc from Kirori Mal College, the University of Delhi from 1986 to 1989 and B.Ed from Central Institute of Education (CIE) IN 1990. After passing the entrance exam for admission in it.

She had started working as a teacher right from 1990. The evidence of her self Reliance is that she had learnt driving during her college time on Ambassador, which was considered as a ‘heavy’ car at that time.
Craving for further studies continued with her working schedule also. She completed having post graduation in Geology and education to after taking permission her workplace.
As a teacher also her working was unique and interesting. Her students still remember her for her style of teaching and she has many credits to add to her records as a coach for her students. A report with her students made her one of the most remembered teachers by her pupils. She also has many hundred percent scores to her credit.
She is a co-writer of Science textbooks of DAV schools.
Her zeal to do something extra for the society has kept her busy with adult education and literacy mission of the school as well as Delhi government schemes. She was an in charge of EFA (education for all ) program and national social service ( NSS) starting from the late 90s, thereby educating hundreds of illiterate ladies living in Jogi clusters in nearby areas. She also headed her school literacy mission program for several years.
In addition to that, she has upgraded herself with changing times and took the active interest in Computer-Based activities, which was a new field at that time.
She took part in many Computer Based activities in school and at National and international level, encouraging and participating with her students in many of them.
